Lair rules
Everyone using the ElecSoc lair must follow these rules to keep the space safe and secure.
Lair access
- Do not share access credentials, NFC cards, or temporary PINs.
- Do not allow unknown people to follow you through the door.
- Only enter during your approved access window.
- Keep the lair secure at all times.
Equipment use
- Only use equipment you are trained and authorised to use.
- Report damaged or faulty equipment immediately.
- Return tools and components to their correct place after use.
3D printer use
- Never leave a print running unattended for long periods without checks.
- Use only approved materials and settings.
- Clean the print bed and area after use.
Health and safety
- Follow all university safety procedures.
- Roof access is strictly prohibited.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment when required.
Leaving the lair
- Leave the lair clean and tidy.
- Turn off equipment that should not be left running.
- Ensure the door closes fully behind you.
Emergency procedure
- In an emergency, prioritise personal safety and evacuate if needed.
- Contact campus security or emergency services immediately.
- Do not rely on this booking system for emergency access.
